Tonight (Friday) was definately one of the worst I've ever seen on the server (which is still better than a lot of other servers out there ). There was a sheer lack of competence as well as respect on both teams. The MEC/Chinese team seemed to think that base-raping was better than sliced bread (and thus screwed them over when they eventually lost a lot of flags... and when this occured, the Americans would switch to base-raping mode). Midknight was on for a bit while I was on... he got so screwed by the same jerk who would RUN OVER HIS MINES REPEATEDLY and punish him for a tk (I saw his score drop down to something like -16/-16 at the very beginning of the match). Midknight had to warn that punk a couple of times... to which he responded along the lines (this is the "clean" version): "Excuse me, I outrank you Lance Corporal." And thus he was justified in treating the server admin like crap because he had more points. Eventually, he was kicked. Came back, cursed some more... specifically naming Midknight as a "F___ A___". Banned. What's awkward is that after that, a couple of his friends started complaining: "Let him back in! It was just friendly name-calling. Etc" My sympathies go out to you for all that crap you have to put up with, Midknight. And the rest of you admins whenever there are smacktards on the server. Anyhow, horrible night to be playing. I left early myself; it was really a crappy experience, and I think I'm coming down with a fever to boot. After seeing my own teammates run past a layer of mines (how it doesn't register: "Hey, these are my teammates' mines!" I'll never know), get in a tank, and zoom off... only to run over the mines that (for heaven's sake) were clearly visible leaves me with doubts as to the future of mankind. So yeah, I could imagine how Robo could have been "banned" by the system for something like excessive tks... seeing as every other person on last night would jump in front of your vehicle, punish, and repeat at a constant rate. Then again, Robo was probably in some sort of aircraft half the time on "ram patrol" I have to give that a try sometime.

You're right Ryland...it was a weird night of gaming tonight. I can't believe how many tk's I did with the damn plane and how many punishes I got! I can't really be mad at them for punishing me if I bomb them - that really is my bad - but I know that regulars to the server would never have acted that way. The crowd got better by the end of the night (morning really on the mainland) and actually had some good teamplay. Look out for this guy named Zync. He's not a talented player but he gave me great support throughout every match we played.

Sorry I missed it last night. Seems like you guys could have needed more insanity added to a bad night. Hopefully I'll have permission to play tonight, not sure though!

Man, I am glad I chose to go out last night... knowing my luck I would have been banned from BF2 all together...
There should be some way of testing if the guys are idiots/smacktards/whatever before joining because from what i can remember from the little I played last night the server was filled with them...
but whatever, I need somemore sleep, 2 hours does not satisfy me.

One kid goes (to friend also on server) "hey I just got my new rank, Im gunna go unlock my guna and then find a better server......" f**k you, little biotch! Tell me about it! I couldn't blame him though: from his perspective (maybe being on the server for the first time), it must have been a server full of newbs-jerks. Of course, maybe he was one himself So, after I made that post last night, I began some programming homework... finished at 2-ish AM, and was about to go to bed until I checked BF2tracker and saw that there were like five 69ers online. Went back to the server and things were *much* better, though. However, I noticed something odd when I first logged on to the server (as USMC). It seemed that there were two people of the same clan, one a USMC sniper and the other a MEC medic who were just standing next to each other (ie not killing one another). I walked over to investigate (just to make sure I wasn't suffering from that glitch where friendlies have red name text)... but no, it was two peeps from the same clan. I guess they were just hanging out (?) so I was uneasy about killing this guy's clanmate... but then he starts taking a couple of shots at me, and then stops. Rather than wait to get shot, I hop in a transport and go around the building so I can ask: "What on earth is going on here?" I came back to take a few screenshots just in case, but they were buggering off... so I decided not to persue the manner. I'm sure it was nothing illegal. Just two clanmates ... you know... staring into eachother's loving eyes or something. Seemed a bit suspicious. What happened to our beloved server?

Generally our server is populated by good people. Every public place will get riff-raff now and then such as what happened yesterday. Our duty is to make sure the right people feel comfortable, and the wrong ones to never want to come back or at a minimum convince them to adjust their behavior.
BTW Ryland I've seen something similar before too. From two guys who are regulars too...wish i could remember their names. I asked them what in the Wide World Of Sports they were up to and they responded, ummm...trying to get badges. I have no idea what they were doing 'cause they were inside a building, but I told them to stop or get kicked. They complied and continued to play the game.

The poor sap (stat-paddee) gets killed by the enemy stat-padder (willingly or not), revived, and killed again lickety-split. It's just wierd having two of 'em there though... it takes three to tango in this case. Of all the wrong things they could have been doing, I'm guessing: 1) They could have been looking for somebody on MEC to stat-pad/knife-rape to oblivion. 2) They were using a private voice chat to utilize each other's radar in their favor. 3) They were "roleplaying" some intense forbidden MEC/USMC military lust... leading to some extreme Battlefield2-cybering action!!!1!one!!1
