Hi guy's How about a good ole get together (mixed play) on sat nite on our server? BF42 and DC final?Maybe we could get some of our FFS clan(DC Clan) friends to join as well ;D One Rule we did add is "no shooting planes on takeoff" we(Rapidfire)felt it was about time to add that 1

One Rule we did add is "no shooting planes on takeoff" we(Rapidfire)felt it was about time to add that 1 Isn't that referred to in modern warfare as "air superiority"? If you bomb the hell out of the airfields, then your military has less of a concern of being raped on the ground by aircraft. Heck... all you need is a couple good AA gunners and a halfway-decent pilot to get out of that mess. I betcha guys have excelled enough in this game to not have to worry about a rule such as this.

I tend to agree with ya Red,if a team plays well then it shouldn't be a concern, but unfortunatly with most players they tend not to defend anything and all rush to a flag..for some strange reason nobody thinks about defence, only offence. some players only want to strafe the airfields, makes it not fun. :Pso we decided to give all pilots a chance to take off been playin on TAW all battle of britain and enjoy staying axis and defending against enemy aircraft.very seldom is there anyone else in an AA gun,but me..got gold several times just by defending.. people seem to loose the idea if there are AA in your base, then they are there for a reason, shoot the damm enemy down

Not shooting down planes on take off is a good rule. For clan matches, destroying enemy planes on the ground is a good strategy, but for public games its just rude. Especially if its an uneven match, which it normally is. Hey Earn, does that rule apply to only planes that are taking off, or does that include "parked" planes without pilots? Just curious. I will be out on Saturday night, but ill try my best .

That's like saying don't knife me when I'm not looking.

At what point is the plane completely taken off? detail. . . details. when the plane is not on the runway anymore...shoot it !!! Now if someone is using the B17 as an AA gun,I say shoot him too!!..lol I always knife when they are not looking..more fun

YAY! Good rule! I've been working on my dogfighting with fairly decent results (I've actually scored a gold medal twice playing Axis on Battle of Britain), so this rule only serves to increase the fun of the game for me. Let's make it so that if a plane is obviously just taking off he will be left alone. Dogfighting is much more fun when there's a challenge afterall.
I have a function to attend on Saturday, but I'll definitely going to play at some point during the day.
