Here is the first monkey render from his experiments in Lightwave 3D 7.5...this took about 3 hours of watching a tutorial and trying myself. Obviously this is not able to compete with Ian's 3D stuff, but not too bad for having this software about 5 hours now. the instructor, the WORLD famous Dan Alban's tire looked much better than my own...Here is my tire tread bumb map created in Photoshop in 2 minutes with the pencil tool...I think I could have spent some more time here.. and finally my reflection map for the chrome was my old photo "Sea Spendor" cropped and gaussian blurred.

Heres a sample file from the software that I used to learn to conrol camera angle, and lighting. A couple of different angles rendered out as JPEGs. This was rendered out at 640x480...I could have cranked the resolution WAY up. Wow is this powerful software!
