Just spent a couple hours in the Homo Jungle with Red and LZ practicing the Hueys... I do have to admit, you guys are improving... Good to see your ping was much better Red...
Just a few pointers to yall...
1. Be gentle on the stick... Don't over compensate for movements... i.e. jerking stick left, right, back or forward... ease the stick in the desired direction. As you get more accustomed to reaction of the copter, you can be a little more forceful with the controls.
2. Pay attention to the artificial horizon in your HUD!!! This is very helpful in maintaining a proper hover. You should be completely level.. No leaning forward, backward or sideward...
3. Master the basics before attempting to try anything else. You should be able to fly forward, come to a completel stop, turn, and hover before you attempt picking things up, or complex flight menuevers... Learn to crawl before you walk, and walk before you run....
4. Once you master those skills... Move on to picking items up... I suggest starting in a hover approximately 20m away from the target vehicle that you're going to pick up. Slowly, and I do mean slowly nudge your way forward... meter by meter... keeping the target directly in the middle of your screen. continue slowly moving over the target till you light goes green... simple as that... JUST PRACTICE HOVERING AND FLYING SLOWLY FORWARD FIRST... Be gentle with your controls, no violent movements of the stick... And Remember your Balance point on your Throttle!!! Gentle movements of the throttle help a lot too...
