That's an awesome kill Patric! And definitely hard to do again. I tried doing that once, parachuting on Market Garden by the Church. I dropped the expacks, but they didn't land anywhere close to the Panzer. Once I did see someone drop a landmine on a tank also on Market Garden which was super badass!

Hey Monkey, I saw something like that happen on Iwo... Axis was pushed all the way back to the top of the hill, and were pretty much stuck there. Two engineers took off in an sbd, went really high, and jumped, opening their chutes early... as they fell they were dropping their expacks... 8 expacks can do a lotta damage.. cause basically they dropped them, blew the crap outta the top base, and captured the flag as they landed... one of the nicest caps i've ever seen on Iwo...
but to toot my own horn... damn.. i owned the 8th's airforce...

hehe...EZ Damn you...you owned the Monkey last night too. I just could not get any momentum..I think you killed me like 40 times on Kursk, I was trying to lure you down into the trees...I was flying in and around the trees but losing too much airspeed doing high "G" manuvers to avoid trees. Murderous to my bftracks stats!! I am going for the top 25.. So I better choose to be on your team from now on.

LOL... And I'm just trying to stay in the top 2500. Good luck to you Monkey... and to all others who like to be in good standings on BF Tracks. Seeing your name in the top 25 will definitely bring pride and high morale to the entire team. Attack the enemy position!

I definitely care about BF Tracks even though I know how innaccurate it is. It just feels good to know you're advancing in something. Sort of like taking care of a Tamaguchi - it doesn't really mean anything but it's fun. I do recognize that air power rules. A good pilot will almost always OWN, and so I'm working on my flying skills, while at the same time trying to stay ahead of Patric on BF Tracks.

hehe, don't worry, i'm still working on my ground assault skills... give me a tank, lemme be an engy and i'll show you some skillz... i usually do well on the desert maps... a lil something something i've been workin on since lately, i feel an urge to just blow shiet up from the ground.. and its been a lot more gratifying to expack a tank or infantry... guess its been all the stalingrad and belin we've been playing lately...

Can we move this thread to the Public folder? I'd like to hear other peeps battlestories. BTW, I have a new one!
I was in ATF in the worse map ever made - El Alamein. What does "El Alamein" mean anyway? My guess is it's Arabic for "Hot, Steaming, Pile of Camel Dung". Anyway, there I was in El Alamein trying to improve on my piloting skills. I'm in the BF109 and actually only expended about 15 bombs to kill 2 tanks. My plane is smoking so I land it in the nice, flat desert just north of the middle flag. The desert is beautiful this time of year - as endless and smooth as God's bedsheets. So there I am fixing it, whistling some sweet song of lament thinkin' about the girl I left back home, when I see the tank approaching me. He sees the plane but he must not see me cause I'm on the opposite side of the plane from him. He stops about 75 yards away me - turret aimed straight at me. I don't move, he doesn't move. I'm waiting for the shot but it never comes...time stands still...what is this guy waiting for?...maybe he thinks the plane is abandoned and he can go and take it(!!!)...the seconds tick by like an eternity...I'm staring at the gleam of my wrench...wonder if it's Craftsman?...then I see it! His tank appears on my minimap meaning he jumped out! Why he didn't just drive the tank to the plane I don't know. Who can explain the human mind? I wait another couple of seconds for him to get some distance from his tank. I jump into my plane and take off (Can I Hear A WHOOP WHOOP!!) and I hear a single shot strike my plane ( I guess he was an Engineer). Here's the cherry on top - I swoop down and take out his tank with one bomb!

I've done this three times and its something worth bragging about. I may have even done it to one of the 69ers, but I don't remember.
In Kharkov at the flag closest to the Soviet base a tank spawns against a wall. Unfortunately this tank spawns with its ass to the road, so if you grab the tank while enemy armor is coming up you are toast. I'm Axis and I'm running up to this tank, and sure enough there's a Soviet tank rolling up the hill. Now a noob would jump right in and try to take out the oncoming tank - a foolhardy move of course. I am more patient. The tank must have caught a glimpse of me because he stops rolling. He's waiting for me to jump in the tank so he can shoot the rear, but I know this. I stand and wait in hiding. I personally would have shot at the wall to splash anyone that might be hiding, but I guess he didn't think of that. Eventually he thinks it must have been his imagination, or maybe I went behind the wall, because he rolls forward. As soon as he gets past my tank I jump in and BLAM! Very satisfying.

Lol, another classic example of expierience vs. Noobs. Roger on the spash damage..i almost always look for something close to infantry to shoot to splash them..requires less careful aiming and is much faster. Damn you sneaky bastard hiding quite well on that very map last night.. very good understanding of where you could stand and NOT be splashed! I also like the hiding by the river, but I've found an access for tanks to get down there on the axis side.
"YO'bleet"? (Japanese "Roger That")
