Trance, maybe I'll hit you up at Dixie Grill this weekend. You're by Pearl City you say? I can probably drag a couple of 69ers with me. Whaddya say? BTW, I have to toot my horn today, not in BF2 but in real life. I made it through the Air Assault Course, Day 0. Day 0 is used to determine one's eligibility to attend Air Assault School. Basically I got smoked for 6 hours in the rain and mud trying to maneuver some moderately dangerous obstacle courses. I'm not particularly fond of heights and some of the obstacles were very tall, not to mention slippery with rain and mud. I thought I was going to be with Jesus a couple of times there. I can't remember the last time I was as dirty and exhausted as this morning, but at the same time I haven't had that much fun in a long time. Anyway, I officially begin class on Tuesday, so you probably won't see much of me for 10 days after that. The highlight of the Air Assault Course is rappeling out of helicopters, but we also learn about Pathfinding as well as the sling loading of vehicles. Wish me luck fellas. Wow. Way cool, congrats Sheep. ;D

Holy Pwnage! Remind me never to go on foot again! I played on Karkaand mostly as a foot soldier...lets just say I almost got my Purple Heart. If I had bumped into Ryland a couple more times I probably would have. Ground pounding is definitely the next aspect of the game I need to work on...but I'm scared! Someone please make the bad men with red tags go away !

I'm sure that if you were able to get a small squad together, the ground would be a lot safer. Unfortunately, it's hard to get more than a couple people to stay together in a public server, unless you know the individuals.

Actually I was with Sheep and Robo trying to get flags back. Then there was Ryland. It was either his darn C4 or that machine gun of his. I swear most of my deaths where from him. But we managed to hold our own in the end.

wOOt, just got off the server tonight... We were on dragon valley i think... the one with that little island with the aa rocket launcher close to the US base... Me, scratchchance and someone else held that island off from a horde of assaulting armor and infantry... They didn't once take the flag... The only times I got killed was like 5 times by arty... but there really isn't anywhere to run there... but ya.. racked up a 47 1 22 5 score.... Personally killed 3 tanks, 3 APCs a Jeep, and like 2 or 3 AA, not to mention a bunch of infantry and about 3 helis with 1 or two people in it... Not to mention Shooting Tako in his AHZ almost point blank with the AA rocket

What ive learned is ANYTIME ryland has a car there is c4 on it, so RUN like the dickens!!! Ive given him a taste of that too though But it would be nice if the cars coasted as far as they did in good ol '42. Those things were like missles!

Yeah, i've adopted the whole suiced car bomb tactis as well. It's just so much fun, and I pretty much only play as Spec Ops now anyways so it gives me the ability to easily take out tanks and apcs. Then again, I can just go back to sneaking up on Sheep from behind, and giving it to him the old fashioned way. That sounded dirty, lol.

But it would be nice if the cars coasted as far as they did in good ol '42. Those things were like missles! Actually, they do rather well when ditching them down even a minor incline. Hence, I like spawning at high bases with transports And why stop at transports? Any vehicle that moves can potentially adorn C4!!!1one!! I never go out in an APC without putting at least two C4 on it. If I run into a fully-armored Tank on the way, I stand no chance in an APC... just use the armored vehicle as a vessel to ram that sucka tank and blow him off the face of the earth -- one less armor for the enemy , more points for me!. I remember once, during a practice round, I tried to C4 people by dumping C4-laden transport helicopters on top of their heads (and detonating from the comfort of a parachute). However, lately I've been running into this annoying... I guess it's lag? Maybe some glitch. Or some human error on my part. Anyhow, I keep having C4 miss-throws due to some trouble with the mouse. I hit left-click (throw C4), the right-click (switch to trigger mode), and left-click again (detonate). Easy enough, eh? Well, lately, a lot of times the C4 with be tossed (typically at some distance), then I switch to detonate-mode... and when I hit right-click that second time, ... I drop another C4 *right in front of me* (which is BAD) instead of detonating the first one! It's been seriously cramping my kill-streaks. However, maybe the route of that problem is in the fact that to throw the first C4 a long distance, I have to jump first... then when I come back to ground, run/dive a safe distance and *then* hit the trigger. Perhaps if somewhere along the line the game logic switches me back to "throw C4" mode. Anyhow, aside from aforementioned "setbacks", C4 is an awesome weapon ( catching up to my kills with the G36C) to use in any situation. Throw, run, asplode. It's great to run from a squad of peeps, chuck c4 onto a wall, run around the corner, and... well, you get the idea. Never spend all yer C4 in one place though: one C4 = lots of dead infantry. Edit: I need to get my clicks correct. I should have gone to bed much earlier :/

Ive had that same problem!! I think its due to lag. I also have the problem where I click the detonater like 3-4 times and no boom boom and then I get shot, which is frusterating to say the very least.... I have definately used that fat oaf russian transport copter packed with c4 to kill the enemy more than once but the are pretty unpridictable where they land.

It sucks especially when you make the perfect C4 plant only to be foiled by a miss throw right infront of yourself in your cover position....

The American infidels have attacked and captured Sharqi Peninsula and our broadcasting station at the end of the peninsula. My battle-hardened squad forms up on me and we advance to the first checkpoint. Tongan, XL, and several other soldiers capture the first flag, creating a foothold in American territory. Leaving the frontal assaults to the other squads I take mine on a flaking maneuver. We circle around left, skirting the city and the infidel defenders. Explosions and the report of artillery fire gives proof that a frontal assault would have been a risky endeavor. The most wayward of my squad reform on me as they happen to respawn at my location. We make it to the chain link fence surrounding the defenses of the lower TV station without being spotted when suddenly an attack chopper starts hovering above us. I can hear through my captured American radio (TS) “Chad, shoot them Chad!!!” I order my squad to attack while Tongan and myself distract the chopper. Somehow, we evade the chopper and we revive all of our fallen comrades, suffering no losses as we finally reach the TV station. Like spicy food through a gringo, we cut through the defenses and occupy the vital ground. Without a respawn or repair point for the chopper, it is soon grounded. The American armor depot also falls to us at the TV station. Now it is a good old fashion infantry fight. Stationary machine guns, determined MEC infantry and armor prove nearly impossible to break through as my squad stands on the defense, repelling wave after wave of desperate American counterattack. We are overcome once as the majority of the squad goes of in assistance of some comrades who have hit stiff resistance. However, we retake the station and remain there for the rest of the battle, holding our hard fought territory in the face of all opposition. (and creating the zombie man)
